'Lost in Thailand' Is China's Biggest Movie - and It's Not Even in 3D - The Hollywood Reporter

"The comedy, often compared to "The Hangover Part II," has earned $184.5 million in its native country -- second only to "Avatar" James Cameron, make way for Xu Zheng. The Chinese actor's directorial debut, Lost in Thailand, has grossed an incredible $184.5 million in his home country as of Jan. 6, beating Titanic and becoming the highest-grossing 2012 release in China. The scrappy lowbrow comedy -- made on a reported budget of just $4.8 million -- is set to best Cameron again by surpassing Avatar (which took in $221.4 million in the country) to become the most successful movie of all time in China.

Conference & Meetings World: TCEB enters MICE agreement for Chiang Mai development

"Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has joined forces with key government and private organisations in Chiang Mai to build a framework for further development of Chiang Mai as a MICE destination." he agreement was signed at the Chiang Mai MICE Summit between TCEB, Chiang Mai province, the Chiang Mai Provincial Administration, Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce, Chiang Mai tourism Business Association, the Office of Commercial Affairs Chiang Mai, TAT Chiang Mai Office, Chiang Mai Creative City (CMCC) and Chiang Mai University. The main objective was to draw a framework for a master plan for developing Chiang Mai as the MICE destination for Thailand and ASEAN in five years.
